For Valentines Day and our Birthdays as well, we decided to take a trip down to Galveston, TX. It worked out because Lucas was in Houston to do some Schlumberger training and I headed down on the weekend to meet him and we headed to the beach. It was rainy and muggy but it stopped raining long enough for us to take a walk on the beach. We saw dead jelly fish that had washed up on shore and collected seashells for the kids. Lucas even convinced me to visit an Off Shore Drilling Rig museum so I could see what he did. It was actually pretty interesting and I learned alot about what he does. Then we headed back to Houston the day before we left and went to a large mall called the Galleria. It had all the best stores... Gucci, Chanel, Tiffany's, Versace, and Fendi. I was in heaven until I learned that we couldn't afford anything in any of them. Oh well... window shopping was just as fun.

It snowed a few days after we got home and RoRo decided to help Dad shovel the snow. He loved it until he realized how cold the snow was on his hands.
This is a picture of Kennedy giving us her best pose. Her Art teacher in school is a black man named Mr. Beal. He is a really nice young guy and one of Kennedy's favorite teachers. What was funny is that he taught Kennedy this move and I caught it on film. She thinks she's cool! The other exciting news with her is that she finally learned to tie her shoes. We kinda forgot to teach her that one but a friend of hers at school did one day and now she wants shoes that tie so she can do it all the time. We're very proud of her.
The only other exciting thing in our household is that I turned 33 today. I'm actually quite excited about it because I am at a point in my life where I have so many things to be grateful for... like my loving husband and my two wonderful little kids. We are so blessed and I am so happy to have great family (and extended family) and that I get to spend most of the day with my husband before he leaves for Alaska again. That's all!
